Our level of service surpasses that found in major metropolitan markets, and you'll find it all right here at the Hotel Lucia in Portland, Oregon. You can't ask for a more unique Portland hotel. Nestled in comfortable downtown Portland, the Hotel Lucia is a slowed pace right off the fast track. Hipsters hail the "contemporary face-lift" that's turned a "formerly awful hotel" into a "gem" with "funky" "black-and-white photographs" of politicians and celebrities throughout, a "great" restaurant and cocktail lounge, and "beautifully designed" (although "small") rooms with iPod docks and Aveda products; sure, some say it may be "a bit pretentious for Portland, but that's what makes it fun."

Good location and nice staff.
Restaurant quality & service below par, room was dark.

This hotel has an art exhibit of photography of moderately good quality. It's location in central Portland is convenient to business, shopping, and dining. The room facing the inner court are rather dark and dreary. A business center and exercise room are a plus. ...read more

The bed linens and comfort, the Aveda products.
The room was very small and hard to navigate.

The Lucia is a swanky, hip, modern, and cozy boutique hotel. Great central, downtown location, in walking distance of everything; restaurants, bars, shopping, museums, etc. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The decor very up to date and fun. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. ...read more

Valet service was very helpful with directions.
The room was very small, one chair, no table.

A very small room and I wouldn't call it well appointed because there is not enough space for a small table and chair, so therefore when you order room service you are forced to eat in bed. The valet service is $30 a day, internet $14.95, breakfast $31. The art work was okay. The up side the king bed was heavenly and the staff was helpful and kind. ...read more

Location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, clean.
Our room had a view of an office building and roof tops below.

The Lucia Hotel is a modern, hip place to stay in Portland located downtown near shops and restaurants. There is a comfortable sitting area in the lobby with a nice fireplace. The rooms are small with a small bathroom if you are in the least expensive rooms. For two people it is quite satisfactory. This was my second time staying at the Lucia and I would come back. ...read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The King size rooms were small for two people.

This hotel met my expectations. The staff was great, the rooms were well decorated. Both rooms we stayed in had good sized bathrooms. There was a lot of morning noise, however. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay. ...read more

Ultra modern looks with an old-style heart.
Small rooms.

Everything was great! Cleanliness and hospitality was near perfect. The looks of the property are great, however, the rooms are small due to the era of which the building was built.

The bed was very comfortable.
The shower head was really dirty with bad flow.

This is a hotel that has been repainted and refurbished on the surface. The doorman will send you to the fancier places instead of the closer, less expensive places.

The staff was very friendly.
The room that a friend stayed in was small with a small bed.

The hotel was very nice. The common areas were clean and spacious, with waiting areas to meet friends and other travelers. The staff was friendly and were able to recommend great restaurants for several different occasions. The downside was that one of the rooms was quite small and I believe only had a double bed rather than a queen as requested, but we did not bring it up to the hotel staff as it was a minor inconvenience. ...read more
